Sharing across devices Sharing across devicesTo Rohanw82. You can easily share across devices if you instal “Dropbox” application (a free download, just google it). Instal the dropbox on whatever computer or device you wish to share with. Also have the application on the device. There are directions on the website on how to do it. Basically, just locate your Yummy Soup Library (with the app closed) and move it to the dropbox. Then open the Yummy Soup, it will say it cannot find the library. Navigate to locate it and click on it. It will then remember where it is. Next, on your other device, do the same. The libraries will then sink automatically whenever changes are made. Great I have it on my iMac at work, at home, on iPad and iPhone. All syncing.

good, but... good, but...I’ve had this app for oover a year now and it’s exactly what I wanted when I was looking for in a recipe organizer. However, it’s annoying how I can’t sync between my iMac, Mac Book Pro and phone. That’s really why I haven’t used it too much since I purchased it.

Versatile VersatileI love this application and use it not only for storing favorite food recipes, I am finding it useful to organize, document and store recipes/formulas for painting mediums and cosmetics. Thank you!

Lacking features Lacking featuresI have used this application many times and have come across some features that it lacks which would make it so much better to use. As it is, I am going to give other app’s a go that have these features which is a shame. The look is nice, and it is easy to use if you only want to use it on one computer, that’s it. No additional devices, iPads, etc. One major problem is that there is no simple way of syncing your recipes across multiple devices without having to always copy the original source file than import it to the other devices. Other software available has wireless syncing with your iCoud, making this step unnecessary. But when using YummySoup, if you want it on your iPad you have to copy the file over to the iPad App, sync it, then hope it works. If you want to open the recipes on another computer, same thing. This app also has an iPad version, but this iPad version takes up so much processing speed and seems so heavy to run that my iPad regularly freezes or the app crashes. If it does open, then the program requires so much memory to operate that the program runs frustratingly slow and is very clunky, then crashes. My iPad is the top of the range and only new so if this iPad can’t run it than all the others must have the same issues. Very disappointed in this app that had promise.
