Wine & Food Perfect

Wine & Food Perfect … a 100% practical application, 100% accessible, a sommelier at your fingertips.

W&F Perfect is an application developed by The Cyber-sommelier Productions Ltd. for the iPhone and iPod platforms from Apple and their by-products. It is a software enabling wine and food pairing in only a few seconds. With this sommelier in the palm of your hand you command strict obedience. The users only have to select a few items from a recipe (ingredients, cooking method and garnishings) and that is it. The application does the rest. It estimates all the aspects of the recipe in order to suggest the wines pairing it. The users are invited to consult the wine list pairing the recipe. This application is available in English and French.

A search tool, but also a guide

W&F Perfect is more than a simple tool allowing to achieve wine and food pairing. It is also a guide since each wine has its own description. All the aspects of the wine are described (visual, scent, taste, varietals, wine and food pairings, service temperature) and there is also the link to the producer website if you want to know more about his products. The author and sommelier Jean-Louis Doucet (Les meilleurs vins de 10 à 30 $ and Mon guide personnel de dégustation de vins, Éditions Michel Quintin) from The Cyber-sommelier Productions Ltd., is the designer of the application and writer of the content. Not only does he describe all the wines, but he provides relevant advice for each product. He is helped in the English adaptation by the sommelier Brian Hanna.

Continuous updates

W&F Perfect contains, in its first version, an extensive list of three hundred favourite products of the sommelier (“coups de cœur” in French). A selection of products which, according to the author, represents “THE wine list” or if you prefer the ideal wine cellar. Wines are added to this list each month. The product evolves and will continue to surprise you. Many features are on preparation and will add to the first version and facilitate your experience with W&F Perfect.
