Simple, yes Simple, yesBut tedious game. Micromanagement to the max! I couldn’t figure out why a planet’s auto mode didn’t seem to build space ships. No auto deploy available for built ships. Think of this scenario: you control 73 of 80 star systems in the galaxy. Then you’re preparing for the final assault and amassing your great big assault fleet. Only that you need to go through each and every planet one by one to deploy the built ships to the next planet, then repeat that procedure until all ships have been gathered at the attack point system. I couldn’t do it. Gritting my teeth I hovered on the boundary of the known galaxy, on the border of the enemy and just using the 5-6 planets visible to slowly built up my fleet for the final blow. Diplomacy? Same scenario as above, but now my empire consists of 78 of the 80 star systems. For the fun of it, I tried to make an alliance with the enemy. They refused. I guess they didn’t look at the same galaxy map that I had, since they had the nerve to oppose my empire :)

amazing!! amazing!!LOVE this game! The developer is also very active on the TA forums, so it's only going to get better! So glad I picked it up... and it's SO CHEAP compared to others like it. It's a great game for both hardcore 4X fans, and newcomers to the genre... so if you had a hard time with Starbase Orion, but think Galcon is way too simple, but still like the idea... this is the perfect game. **would be a LOT better if this was updated for the widescreen...
