Like a fine wine...gets better with age. Like a fine wine...gets better with age.I have been searching for a word processor that would allow me to to create & edit styles....so I could give up my laptop once & for all. When I found UX Write....my search was over. I have been using it ever since. With each update.....I know I made the right word processor choice. There are still a few things I would like it do do....they are scheduled in upcoming updates. Great App!

App Does Not Work Well With Siri App Does Not Work Well With SiriThis is a wonderful app but it does not work well with Siri. If you like dictating with Siri, do not buy this until the developer fixes this problem.

Unable To Use iOS Dictionary Within The App... Unable To Use iOS Dictionary Within The App...Unless I'm missing something, I can not get the standard iOS dictionary to function within this app. How is this convenient in anyway, especially working with a word processor? To charge $25.00 for this without the use of a dictionary is not only ridiculous, it's completely unacceptable. There are $0.99 word processor apps that keep the onboard dictionary functional. How on earth was this overlooked?

Outstanding (Updated by longtime user) Outstanding (Updated by longtime user)Outstanding IF you understand what UX Write is, and what it is not. I have been a beta tester since v1.1 and I have used UX Write daily for over a year. Edit: all of the criticisms I've read are from people who don't understand the product. The author is excellent to work with. He listens, but also has a firm vision for his word processor. Most important, understand that UX Write is NOT a Word or Pages replacement. UX Write is for serious writers, especially for those who write large, complex documents. It is for professionals who write a lot. I direct your attention to the outline functionality. I have found it indispensable. Use the Heading-1 for Chapters and Heading-x beyond that for an increasingly refined subsection hierarchy. The program automatically re-numbers as you develop the document if you want that. You can rearrange subsections with incredible ease. It allows you to get your head into the document. I cannot emphasize enough how this feature influences productivity. The price is cheap if you value your time. UX Write is directed to those who are writing re-flowable text. It is not directed to those who want rigidly structured documents that use multiple columns, etc. that end up as pdfs. If you are mainly writing newsletters or fliers, move on. It handles various insertions nicely, but that is not why you want it. UX Write is directed to those who want to develop their document in native HTML-5. It works fine with docx, too, and you can convert easily. UX Write will firmly herd you towards best practices in text formatting. While you can mark up your text to your heart's desire as with Word/Pages, it is much easier to use 'styles'. In the end, you will be glad to have this discipline. It certainly has benefitted me. The negative reports here are mainly due to the fact that UX Write discourages bad habits. UX Write is wonderful for text entry on the go. Develop the text and then finalize the formatting on a desktop. Why not just use a laptop? Why do you use an iPad if you even have to ask that? Why not just use desktop software lookalike? That works, but those programs miss the point of using an iPad. UX Write was designed for the iPad work environment from the get-go. How does UX Write work with DropBox? Just fine. I routinely use it that way. Any problems? Yes, if you leave a document open on your desktop computer, you will create conflicted copies. Duh. If you are using both desktop software and UX Write, make sure that you know whether you are in html or docx. It takes a little discipline. Are their bugs? Of course, this is complex software that is new. Nothing more than annoyances, however. The vision and overall design is inspired.
