  • Awesome but Useless - Abysmal Support
Pros: The books themselves are functional and better than Kindle, especially for tables and images. Cons: The product is however useless when trying to use what they laughingly call a “search” engine on my iPad. The search engine in the browser on my Mac is better. Using the main search engine for the library of books I can’t find anything on my iPad. The result is zero, but when I copy and paste the same word in the search engine of an individual book, the word is there. In the individual books, the search engine is only good for a one-word search. If you try to search for a 2 or 3-word term, the search engine gives results for every single word INDIVIDUALLY which results in a plethora of useless results and MAYBE I can find hidden in the clutter of unwanted results, the 2 or 3-word term among them. This may be fine if you have a lot of time, but if you want an answer fast (in the ER to use my copy of Washington Manual® of Medical Therapeutics for example), I am faced with a clutter of useless results and wasting of precious time. I have complained about this several times with no results. Abysmal Support: According to the Inkling web site, “Every Inkling account supports two registered devices, excluding browsers used for Inkling for Web.” I have inkling on my iPad and iPhone and I use i on my Macbook Pro in a browser, however, recently, my iPad won’t let me download my 2 new books on my iPad and the support person keeps telling me I have surpassed the number of devices. I am so frustrated that I have warned them I will complain to the Better Business Bureau, but I have gotten no response from inkling support.

  • Annoying app
Every time you click on an item, you get an ANNOYING popup asking you to buy the audio part of the app. There are several other Spanish apps for medical users on the market that have audio.

  • Sorely Needed App - Dr. Raymond Whitham
Toxoplasmosis can be a devastating disease for the fetus or newborn. Unfortunately, T. gondii's life cycle is rarely, if ever, understood by medical professionals in human medicine which results in incorrect info being given to seronegative women during pregnancy for the prevention of infection of the embryo/fetus. This app is a nice try, but it still needs work. The English needs to be corrected in order for the content to be better understood and incorrect info must be corrected as well. Unfortunately, the author's contact info is nowhere to be found on the internet.
