  • Nice for the price
The graphics are excellent, of course, but the game is extremely repetitive. They could have sub-titled it "Groundhog Day".

  • Lame
Here's the way this game works. Rather than charging up front for a game that progresses smoothly along they make it "free". The caveat being that it is insanely slow to deliver the various credits, energy, whatever that you need in order to play the game. Of course you can buy what you need to last for a week or two for $1.99, and then the occasional video pops up offering you 1 credit if you'll sit through this 30 second pitch. The obvious cash-grab doesn't make it feel very free, and the slow pace of the game if you don't pay up is a huge detriment. Just charge for the game so the experience doesn't suffer so much! I'm deleting it and looking for something else.

  • Don't Listen to the Whiners
I can't believe the number of bad reviews based solely on the fact that these guys aren't giving away their awesome technology for free. Go buy a Spanish-English dictionary at the bookstore instead of complaining - oh wait that costs too, and is MUCH less convenient. Sure this app has a few issues but it let's me understand much more when traveling in Latin America. A couple of suggestions: 'entrecon' is a T bone steak and 'cepas' can also translate as "varietal" when talking about wine. Perhaps have a button for common activities (aka 'at the restaurant' for ex) to help your app pick the correct translation for the situation.

  • I especially like the larger text options
12/30/2014: The performance issues seem to have been addressed, and this really is a great Reddit client. As I've said earlier, I love the font sizes. The interface in general is very clean and intuitive. Not much of a learning curve at all. The only glitches I have now are that YouTube videos playing on the embedded player begin stretched and offset below the screen of the iPad (iPad Air). If I rotate the screen 90 degrees and then rotate back it's fixed. The 2nd glitch is also with the YouTube player. When videos are playing you can't skip forward because attempting to move the slider ends up flicking the entire player window off the screen. These are small issues for me because I rarely watch videos from Reddit, but may be bigger issues for others. Edit: I downgraded this from 4 start to 2 because it's performance has really gone downhill over the past 6+ months. First, it would simply hang when trying to open. After 3 or more updates from the dev, this continued to happen. Someone in the community found a work-around by reducing the cache size to 10MB. Okay fine. It's silly but it works. Now there is an issue with only the first page of posts showing - ie. no endless scrolling of the front page. This issue has been going on for a month or two now. Original Review: Other apps I tried only had only seemed to offer "small" and "really small". I like to sit back and scroll through pages, and it helps to have a larger font for doing this.

  • Excellent App
There is so much great to say about this app, but I'll start with the bad.. As others have said, the screen sensitivity makes it hard to get the translation captured correctly sometimes. It would be nice if there were more lag so the words don't re-translate so quickly and make the entire screen a giant pause button so that capturing the translation is easier. Also, some words have several meanings based on context. The app could benefit from a way to tell it where you are so that it displays the correct translation (ex. 'At a Restaurant' gives food & drink related translations). Those drawbacks don't take much away from how great this app is though. It's so convenient, and cheaper than buying a language dictionary at the bookstore.
