  • Needs to search by genre
I listen to audiobooks daily and would not have ever "read" the classics otherwise. Those that complain about the narrators don't realize they have nothing to do with this app! The narrators are volunteers for the Librivox project that makes public domain books available to us for free. Those complaining should do something about it by volunteering to read for Librivox! Anyway this app would be better if you could browse for books by genre like some of the other apps. I am mostly interested in mysteries and have no idea who the old authors are or the titles. So for that reason I use another app that is a bit buggy called Bookplayer. Please add the search by genre function!

  • AUDIOBOOK features are buggy
This is the only way to access my library's audiobooks, so I am stuck. This app has issues downloading audiobooks when another book is playing. Sometimes it will say it is downloading, but when you try to play it, the app says it hasn't downloaded the files, and it hasn't. Other times it will lock up when downloading while listening to another audiobook. To get out of this you have to close the app from running in the background, not just close the app. The last two updates fixed some things but created other problems. Most annoying is that it often does not remember my library card and/or PIN number! This issue is with my iPad mini (ios 6) and my itouch (iOS 6). I have multiple libraries, so this is a real hassle. If you are going to stop listening, you had better bookmark, as this often will begin at a different point. Sometimes the app works just fine, and I enjoy listening to the audiobooks, especially since my library keeps adding more titles. Some times it works just fine .

  • I'm never without a book to read!
I like that you can download ebooks from other websites, especially free ones and they are all in my library intead of having different apps for different sources. I really like the tips that appear when you open the app (you can also disable tips). I have so many free books to choose from I'm never bored. Easy to organize, search, and to see which I have read. I just discovered that the circles next to downloaded books tell me how far into the book I am. It's like a gauge from empty to full!

  • Big fan of the classic YDKJ, this disappoints
I was so glad to see YDKJ game app. Having owned all the classic PC versions, this game is perfect for a comeback as an app, and I hope that Jellyvision will release the older games INTACT, but for the app platform. I would gladly pay up to $5 for each. This version is as clever, but I found the band of competitors located on a wide white ribbon on the left side of the screen, distracting and annoying. (I was playing solo, and they give you five "competitors"). Not only does it interrupt the nice game graphics, but it is not necessary to see pictures of strangers constantly or even at all. Plus you can only play one five question game per day unless you pay up to $17.00 for I don't even know how many games, just tokens to apply to playing more rounds. Really? If I pay for a game I want to own it, not rent it. And I don't want to be forced to sign in to Facebook or any other social media, including Game Center. Yes, the classic versions may be dated, but so is the current version. Specifically, even though the music and tv shows in this game are current, it doesn't mean that all or most YDKJ fans are following them. So to widen your paying customer range, bring back one classic YDKJ for each new one, and your over age 39 fans will gladly fork over the bucks to have an ad free AND nonFacebook game. The classic games let you play solo or with others as a pass & play. And the classic games came with up to 21 questions per round, not five as this not-really-free version. Even though social media is a big thing, don't forget that it isn't important to many, so the classic version should leave out the Facebook etc. stuff. Keep it simple. I would still be playing all classic YDKJ cd games I own but I rarely use my laptop since I got the iTouch and iPad Mini. Again I am happy to see YDKJ I the App Store, but I only rated it two stars because of all the distractions, and the in app purchases are for tokens (?!), or you do the forced integration to Facebook.

  • Can't believe this is free!
I have downloaded many free Spanish language apps for home use and for my trip to Cancun. This app is the best Span/Engl dictionary of all especially since I don't need wifi to use on my itouch. Very good!
