  • Love it!
I downloaded the Mac version too. Both are great. This should have been a paid app.

  • Great game but costs lots of $ to advance.
First off, this is a really great game. It's well designed, and it can be very challenging. I can't give it more starts because of the problems I am listing here. My problems with the game are that after a while, it seems impossible to advance if you don't spend a lot of money. This involves making in app purchases for gold so that you can upgrade buildings, and buy more energy. You can let your energy replenish itself over about a 3 hour period, but that only buys you about 5 minutes of game play. Then, it's back to waiting again. You can buy gold, and replenish the energy right away to continue playing, but then doing so means you have less gold to advance the game. I have to compliment Playdom for creating an addictive game that has actually persuaded me to spend real money to keep playing. Despite that, doing so is getting really old. I'm getting sick and tired of the fact that advancing is pretty much impossible without spending money. In order to upgrade buildings, you have to ask your "neighbors" to give you items. And here's where things get really evil…. They just instituted a limitation on how many items you can request each day. This now makes it almost impossible to advance forward without spending a lot of money. This game is a money hole. I deleted it from my devices the moment I discovered this new limitation. Playdom should just charge for the app, or make an add supported version instead of creating all of these limitations designed to get us to spend money. The changes are very subtle over time such as raising the difficulty to upgrade buildings and other objects. You start to notice that all of those coins you accumulated are now gone because the price of items like blue prints and white prints sky rocketed. The game lays everything out on a grid. You can't make the grid any larger than about 24x24 squares, which constitutes another limitation to keeping you from advancing without spending lots of money. It's really sick and twisted the way they have done this, and I will never play this game again.

  • Hate the ads!
Thanks for extorting $1.99 out of me to get me to buy the paid version. I would have done so in the first place, but I didn't see that there was a paid version until now. When you make a play, an ad takes over the whole screen. This isn't normally a problem, but some of the ads won't go away. VERY ANNOYING! I would have rated this game with 5 stars if it were not for how the ads take over everything.

  • This is great!
Most people have not actually read the Constitution so, this is a great tool to have around. Now, the Bush haters won't be able to lie through their teeth about how the President is supposedly violating the Constitution. Now, I will be able to prove that Congress is the culprit who ignores the Constitution.

  • Good for getting news but alerts don't work right
The interface is nice. It's easy to read stories. When I get an alert on my iPhone, then tap to read the related news story, I am taken to the app, but not to the story. The news story that generated the alert is nowhere to be found! That's a major flaw that this app has had from the start. Good thing it's free or I would want my money back!
