Our book reader of choice Our book reader of choiceGood animation on page turning. Handy organization (desktop vs online). I only wish there were a “hide” feature so’s I could simplify the display of my online library. Sometimes I get a little ticked at Amazon’s domineering attitude toward certain authors and publishers, too; but that’s off-topic.

Just the thing Just the thingIf your public library supports it, this is what you need. Make sure you have your Library Card at hand, of course: required for access. Site navigation can be a bit awkward.

Nice but for two things Nice but for two thingsI'd *certainly* appreciate using the app in landscape orientation, as I habitually do all my other iPad apps. And it'd be nice to have a simple non-graphic background—say, a gradient or a flat color.

Exactly right Exactly rightFWIW, Wikipedia app is a Wikipanion wannabe. Wikipanion provides fast, straightforward access. Nothing in the way, no stems no seeds that you don't need. I can't imagine what the paid version would do for *me* so I'm sticking with the freebie. But each time I for the heckuvit look at the Wikipedia app again, I remain convinced Wikipanion is the one. ?????
