Love the game and still one of the better shmup bullet-hell titles out there. I had all the craft unlocked and upgraded and loved playing the Crimson fighter...saving the Lightning Weapon pick-up until the boss battle started...activate Super and just melt the boss's health meter into nothingness. That was how the Crimson craft operated or, rather, how the Lightning Weapon + Super attack operated on the Crimson...months ago. Now, for some reason, when I activate the Super with Lightning Weapon on the Crimson, there is NO noticeable damage boost occurring_at_all. Apparently it was..too powerful? I don't know...I don't think so, certainly when facing the latter stage bosses...apparently this has been patched and the developer FAILED to let anyone know about this in the patch notes. (What, ya think someone wouldn't notice? Apparently your game was so good that myself and some friends still play and noticed this). If you're going to nerf something, here's a pro-tip, be open to your target audience about it. When you try to slip it by and hope no one will notice...it's like standing in line at a grocery store and having someone's child ram a baby carriage into the back of your foot while you're enjoying a sip of Red Bull Blue Edition. Not_a_cool_surprise! That is just a very shady stunt to pull. I would have loved to have given this game 5 stars. I still want to...but being a developer, myself, and knowing that this type of deviant behavior IS (deviant) responsible for ruing a fan base and a game...and a poisonous method of software support...I'll give it an average 3 stars. You operate "average" by making a great game and then then try slipping it in the rear and hope no one notices...you're just an average developer. Either buff the Crimson Lightning Weapon's damage when the Super is activated...or just remove the Super from building on the Crimson or remove it's Lightning weapon, because the Super boost does no damage increase like it used to and/ or should. Period. End of file. If you can't or won't do that, at least put a note under the latest nerf...err, patch, stating that, "Sorry. We forgot to mention that if you play the Crimson and use the Super damage boost whilst having the Lightning weapon equipped, there is no damage bonus applied to your craft's damage output." (And leaving people to discover this through MY REVIEW is an even bigger, lazy (and irresponsible) mistake. Don't do that! Take responsibility and in your OWN words, make a note in the patch notes). I'm sure those of us who still play would rather the Crimson Lightning damage boost to go back to how it was, but hey, your game, your call...

  • Love it
Great game that has a lot of longevity. Good character progression and advancement system. Fights are automated but include skill queues to make them feel more engaging. Worth a look. Pay to win is purely optional. It's a game, made to kill time and have fun. No need to rush through as the energy consumption is pretty generous.

  • Not bad
Has all the aspects of a solid shmup (power ups, new ships, upgrades, and so on). There is an issue with the projectiles however, they are too small and are easily missed (noticed) due to the touch control; finger/ thumb can cover them up. This does support an 'anywhere' movement feature though which somewhat counters the annoying view block by the thumb. What this means is that your ship does NOT lock to the area of contact. So it can help a lot if you hold your thumb on the screen 'away' from your ship and not on it. Happy shooting!
