  • My Go To Heart Monitor App
There are lots of other apps, Polar & Garmin watches that do much of the same thing & this is my app of choice. I use it with a Polar H7 heart rate transmitter & sometimes with a Garmin foot pod & ANT+ dongle. For gym & indoor workouts this app is my favorite. Other apps rely too much on the GPS & map display which are useless on a treadmill, elliptical, rowing machine, etc. I prefer the Wahoo fitness app over Polar watches because every Polar watch I owned broke within a year or two. I prefer this app over Garmin watches because the Garmin (ANT+) signal doesn't show up on gym equipment. I'm sure there are other great apps out there but this one is just easy to use, has multiple display options & provides plenty of useful information without requiring GPS or a map display

  • Wish it could connect to bike sensors
Great graphics & awesome if you are using a stationary bike. However, if you're using a real bike on a trainer or rollers, I'm not aware of any way to get this app to connect to your speed sensor or show any of your other sensor stats on screen (heart rate, cadence, power, etc). That's an enhancement I'd gladly pay for. I'd also like the option to have my character on a road bike instead of a mountain bike. Major enhancement requests aside, the graphics are great & this has the potential to become a CompuTrainer killer.

  • OK if You Live in the Bronx
Shows the weather for the Bronx only. Let's you scroll to select another city but rejects your setting & stays locked in on Bronx. Could not figure out how to contact developer to ask for fix. Used to show the weather in any city using location services & used to be configurable if location services were off.

  • Do not forget to press record button!
This is by far the easiest to read app while riding and that makes it the best app if you want to look at it while riding. If you can't read this in direct sunlight then there's no way you're reading anything else on your phone because this is as high contrast and large font as it gets. The graphics don't just look cool, they make it obvious what stat you're looking at. iMapMyRide can display even more stats but the icon representing what the stat is is tiny & you need to spend more time looking at the phone to figure out what the stat means. The colorful spinning crank is obviously cadence, etc. I like that you nit only see your heart rate but you also see a big color coded number indicating your heart rate zone. The inky stats it doesn't show are ride time and distance. If you record you're ride you'll see that afterwards. So this is the wrong app if you want to ride 15 miles or 30 min & turn back. Here's the biggest unintuitive pain about this otherwise great app. Ivwas excited to see an odometer feature. You can configure this for multiple bikes and I think with a separate odometer for each one. I don't have to press record to make the odometer in my car work or to make any cheap bike computer work so it didn't occur to me to press record to get it to record my ride. I felt like an idiot at the end of a 25 mile ride with no history or stats to show. All the other apps have a big green start button so it's obvious to push it. With this app you must remember to push record. So is it worth $12.99? If you want to keep your eyes on the road instead of staring at your iPhone while doing 20 mph trying to figure out which tiny number is what then yes, this is the fastest& easiest reading dash &in less than a second I know my speed, cadence & heart rate. Keeping my eyes on the road is worth it to me. If you won't look at it until the end if the ride then Wahoo Fitness & iMapMyRide are both free& let you post your stats.

  • It's a Game, not a Training Tool
Great graphics and ok if you want to play a handheld game. I don't see any way to connect it to ANT+ or BlueTooth sensors so what you do on your bike has no impact on the game. This would be amazing if there was a way to connect your speed, cadence, heart & power sensors, see your stats on screen & have your actual bike speed drive how fast you go in the game. That's an enhancement I'd be willing to pay for. I can't imagine skipping a ride to play a handheld game. Please make this app Wahoo compatible so that I can have what to stare at besides the wall when I ride my bike indoors on rollers or a trainer
