  • Very useful, but needs work
Three stars, the following improvements would earn it five: 1) Push notifications have to come quicker, 2) I want to be able to send the occasional picture or other file when chatting via text - camera access and being able to accept shared files would be grand 3) I want to be able to read a message in one device, and all devices would know it's read -- i.e. I could read it on the computer, and it wouldn't have to navigate into the conversation on the iPhone for it to show as read there too.

  • Works well
I’m using this on my iPad mini when my desk doesn’t work. This app starts up and connects quickly and does not require any software to be installed on the computer. Its gestures are a bit different from a normal mac trackpad, and it’s really touchy. Also, because it emulates a trackpad using the remote desktop features of the Mac, you can’t use keyboard+mouse combinations like Ctrl-Click, except using keys provided by the touchpad. You also can’t play DRM-protected video on your Mac while this is connected. I think this is a well-written app, an iOS7 update and some tweaks to make it feel less finicky when right-clicking, scrolling, and selecting text, etc would make it a five-star app.

  • Great at-a-glance UI, needs landscape mode
This app does exactly what I want it to -- it provides a quick view of multiple currencies. I load it up, it shows immediately, I shut it down. Very fast, the loading speed is commendable. However, my case shows the iPad in landscape, but this app is always portrait. This app plus landscape mode is easily worth five stars.

  • Annoying to use
The UI is loaded with noisy animations that only distract. The icons in the top corner are ads for other apps, they flicker. The background image is a fast moving animation. The icons are animations. These all make the application feel cheesy and make the program annoying to use. I would prefer the icons be nice static images and the background be maybe a few images that cycle smoothly using a ken burns effect, and all the top corner and bottom row application icons fade in and out when the screen is touched. One more thing -- it misuses the application badge -- using it to show temperature. The application badge should only be used to indicate the app has messaged for the user. I didn't even know Apple's HIG permitted that.
