I live in China now and use this app every day multiple times a day. It's extremely useful and had lots of updates to help you keep advancing your Chinese. I've been a loyal fan of pleco for almost 5 years now and know it's the best Chinese dictionary app out there.

I think this app is good for refreshing yourself with the names of terms that you probably have already heard before for, but need to brush up on. I think the app needs to have more categories added for the paid version though. Also the pronunciations or tones of the voice recordings are sometimes incorrect even if though the pinyin seems to always be correct. For example, 行 is read as xing when it's supposed to be read as hang in one place (this character has two readings)

If you already have a pretty good base in Chinese, this app is going for reviewing business vocab in a quick and organized way. I purchased the in app purchase and think it was worth it to able to have all the categories available to review. I think there should be more categories added in an update though because the cost did seem a bit expensive.
