Sudoku Takeout

The daily version (which is how I found this full app) lets you click on a number to see it highlighted everywhere it appears in the grid. Also that version lets you use one set of numbers for marking and another for entering the real answer instead of having to keep flipping back and forth between with the slider. I was very disappointed that this paid version was so much different (and in my opinion a lot less nice) than the version in the daily puzzles. If that is the place that leads you to this app, I would expect this app to mirror the sudoku part of the daily app, but it's very different.

I like to play hard puzzles. This is the only game I know of that uses games that are always solvable. Many other games use puzzles that are not solvable at the highest level.

This is the 2nd game I've bought from this developer and I haven't been sorry for either. Well thought out, forget a lot of glitz (thank you! ) fun & challenging...just the way I like my sudoku!

Nice all around sudoku.

Over the past week I had some time to pass and I decided to master Sudoku. After trying a few apps I settled on this one and, as of this review, I have solved over 200 puzzles. I started at the Easy level and worked up to the Evil level as the puzzles became too easy. The only problem is that the Evil level is really not really very hard. I solve most puzzles in an hour or less, and one took only 20 minutes. I have tried other Sudoku apps where the more difficult levels require at least an hour (without cheating). The interface is nice. The permanent display of the candidate count is extremely useful when only two or three of a particular digit remain. While I will use some other apps when I want a real challenge, I will return to this one for a typical (Evil) game.
