Rise Up + Recover: An Eating Disorder Monitoring and Management Tool for Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating, and EDNOS

I've been going through recovery for three years and this is the best app/book/resource I've came across! Just from using this app for a couple of days I can see a impact it's had in my life. I am forever grateful!!!

This is a beautifully designed app that has supported my recovery in a huge way. As someone with a long history of eating disorders who often still struggles, it’s hard not to become obsessive when it comes to apps. But Rise Up and Recover is truly positive— it provides a space for mindfulness and empowerment, and reminds me to stay strong (and nonjudgmental) with encouraging quotes. I absolutely love it! The podcast, Recovery Warriors, is also fantastic. Many thanks to the Recovery Warriors team!

I've never written an app review before, but my life has been so positively impacted by just a few weeks of using Rise Up that I really felt I had to. What really sets this app apart is that it seems to really understand its target population with their unique issues. For example, whenever you add a meal, you are prompted to include your current feelings, simple for some but a difficult task for ED survivors who can have difficulty identifying emotions. It also doesn't allow you to easily review your daily intake. You have to export all data in order to see your intake, a genius feature to prevent obsessing. The constantly refreshing motivational quotes are meaningful and uplifting. I cannot say enough great things about this app!!!

After spending so much time and energy using food and feelings logs this app is great. It is so much easier to use.. Especially when I am out at a restaurant. No paper to pull out of my purse and fill out. I would love it if there were a place to record my hunger and fullness levels. We use a 1-10 scale.
