This app is awesome in theory but is weak on execution. The limit is too low for deposits size and the password reset process happens every few weeks where you need to call Rbc on the phone to reset.

Worst banking app ever Worst banking app ever

This remote deposit service is the worst I've seen so far. The password requires resetting all the time, the camera is buggy, and phone model support lags by over a year. The only thing worse is the java applet web browser interface to the same service. Embarrassing.

Garbage becomes even more garbage Garbage becomes even more garbage

The old app was absolute garbage and barely even worked. This latest update touts iPhone 5 and iOS 7 compatibility, yet it won't even log in. Please hire a developer for this app who actually cares about your customers. Releasing a non-functioning U.S. remote deposit app for customers who are mostly living outside of the United States is cruel.

No update as promised No update as promised

Recently got a iPhone 5s. Unable to use thus app since. When called customer service and after speaking with 5 different representatives was told there was going to be an update February 9th. This never happened and still unable to use this app.

A Good Start, But Improvement Needed A Good Start, But Improvement Needed

Currently if you do not log into the app every 30 days, your account will be disabled. This should be significantly extended. There is also a $5k limit on the size of deposits although you can request to have it increased. If Royal Bank would also allow you to do remote deposit of Canadian checks to a Canadian bank account this app would be great.
