How to beat the game every time without exception: Let the computer start. Play your first piece directly next to the computer's first piece. As long as you play outward in a single line every time and don't let the computer block you, you'll win literally every game.

Drop a piece directly above the starting piece, ignore the computer move and play directly to the left of yours. When you have a blocked four the CPU opts to create its open four allowing your win every time.

I have played pente for most if my life and NEVER has it EVER been permissible to place a stone wherever you wanted on the board. Of course this app seems too easy: IT'S BECAUSE THE RULES ARE WRONG. If played correctly, stones can only ever be placed ***adjacent*** to other stones. FIX THE APP! It's no fun this way.

Was fun until I realized I could win with my first five stones

As someone else said when computer captures your two stones it takes both, but when you capture it's only one is removed. Played one game and deleted it.
