Great maps, simple interface Great maps, simple interfaceLoving the new map choices! Will also mean navigation on the iPhone is improved in urban areas where you’ve no downloaded OS maps. Might also help in choosing which maps to download - if you think you’ll have phone reception, why bother with the OS? The originals do look nice though…! The zooming in and out works brilliantly on the OS and Google maps - the Open Street ones can get a bit clunky at times, but I’ve had that before with Open Street Maps. Switching between map choices seems to be instantaneous and slick. Might a new update have the option to download and store areas of Open Street maps for off-line use? Like the OS ones? Just need to get an iPhone 6 to make the most of it now... Review of latest version, 4.4: Continues to do exactly as it says on the tin; the best way to view OS maps on your iPhone or iPad. Clever to also be able to seamlessly switch between OS and Google options, and the zooming seems smoother than ever. The saving and storing of your purchases works seamlessly, and the new options of subscribing for maps for shorter periods will appeal to those visiting an area on holiday. The HD screen of the iPad 4 means that your maps will have never looked better! ------------- Just downloaded new version and purchased 1:25k maps for my region. All worked easily, and this way of buying content seems slicker than in previous versions, where you had to buy regions separately. The interface is very simple in terms of normal use. The main screen allows you to see your speed, altitude and basic compass direction (plus lat & long), and there's a button to enable you to record your route, whereupon an analysis of your route is displayed. You can zoom and browse your map area via another click, which all seems to work well. Hats off to the OS, as the 1:25k maps look great on an iPhone 4.0 screen. You can also search any place name that appears at 1:50k, though not, sadly, at 1:25k. The maps are quite expensive, and you are of course constrained to the maps and exact regions that OS produce, so you may have to buy two adjacent maps in order to get all the coverage you want. This will become very expensive, but the flip side is that you get a much larger area for a given price than you would if buying the paper editions. Overall, it looks good and seems to work well. I look forward to trying this properly in the great outdoors, as it was intended, and seeing how the phone's battery lasts...!

Outstanding OutstandingThis app is well worth the 5 stars. It's a brilliant mapping app. Having tried so many other mapping apps, I reckon this is as good as it gets at present. Many of the others fall down on the price of tiles. I've found this app to be well worth what I pay for the area I get. Thanks
