The best Zelda game I've played since link to the past The best Zelda game I've played since link to the pastHonestly please try to get past the initial price of this product. It is honestly everything it grandly claims to be. If you want a Zelda game with the aesthetic of wind waker and the musical stylings of an ff7 composer grab this immediately. It's hard to stop playing it.

Slow start but worth the effort Slow start but worth the effortIt took some time (a few hours) but eventually the game becomes very reminiscent of the classic Zelda games of old. I considered giving up but am glad that I persevered and was able to finish the game.

Looks better than it plays. Looks better than it plays. After playing this game for five hours I'm compelled to write a review. I've found this game to be completely frustrating. The game is beautiful in stills, but when moving is very plastic looking. Everything feels stiff and lacks any feeling. The controls are a nightmare. This game embodies the worst of touch controls. All to often I've run out of touch room in battle or had the controls "freak out" such that up is down and down is up. Also the swing and interact control is mapped to the same button, so often in battle when you try and attack you'll stop and pick an item up. The lack of camera control is also frustrating. Stay away from corners in this game, especially in boss battles! Finally the combat system is simply a mess. The enemy AI has one mode: charge attack. Slow swing speed and fast mob speed results in quick deaths. Also the throwing and arrow mechanic is maddening. It's not a simple click, but rather a click and aim. Good luck getting an arrow or bomb away in a pinch, especially on that temple boss. Lastly the collision detection errs heavily in favor of the enemy mobs. Regarding the story, it is a complete and utter shameless ripoff of the wind waker. The mobs are similar, the mechanics, everything. The only thing the develops did not copy is how well the zelda games make sure you know where to go and what to do. The whole time I played oceanhorn I was guessing where and what to do. Many cons, and sadly no real pros. My time with oceanhorn was just frustrating.
