Seeing the fish you look at Seeing the fish you look atThis is not simply a "picture book" as it has been called, but a first-rate commentary, in visual terms, of nature. Cole's angle of vision, as artist and as biologist, is unique. His photographs, viewed simply as beautiful objects, are often thrilling--like the cardinal fish, caught swimming against a violet background. He reports to us on unusual happenings or phenomena. everything to him is noteworthy. Next to a swarm of baby fish in the shallows he presents us with a crowd of baby Figians fishing. A birth of new catfish are so densely packed they resemble one organism, all eyes. It would be fascinating to see the bunch of pictures he drew from his sea-wanderings, to make this stunning selection. Any one who has ever dived must feel the call of mask and tank when he or she peruses these wonderful confrontations with the haunting, threatened world of the reef. Huck_Finn Huck_FinnI really love this app! I want to be a marine biologist when I grow up, and so I did as much research, bought as many apps, and read as many books as I could about or relating to the ocean or oceanography. This app may be only pictures to some people, but to me, it's really inspiring!

Great views Great viewsVery beautiful shots, my 6 year old is very interested in anything ocean and this is such a beautiful way to give him a front row seat. He loves the map feature, he's been to two of the locations so it's neat for him to imagine he was near those things. Very worth the money if this is where your interest lies.
