Unlike similar virtual hair-salon apps, Posh Hair is free and comes with more than 80 male and female hairstyles built-in. Completely stepping out of character with a radical hairdo is easy with Posh Hair.
Users begin with a frontal portrait photo that can be shot live, retrieved from the Camera Roll, or downloaded from Facebook. A scrolling list illustrates the hairstyles, and users have random access to any style. Once it appears on top of the photo, the size of the hair can easily be adjusted to match the face, and it is also possible to alter the length and width. When properly oriented, the overlay, a photographic layer of actual hair, looks completely real.
In addition to selecting hairstyles from the list, users can touch forward or backward arrow buttons to view the next or previous hairstyle in the list. The intelligent app automatically resizes and repositions each successive hairdo, so adjustment is usually unnecessary.
