Does the job, but could be better Does the job, but could be betterI bought this app as I am in America on holiday and didn't want to switch on Data Roaming. This app shows just San Francisco, for the same price you can get their Bay Area version which is probably worth getting unless (like me) you wanted to save on space. The app is simply a map that uses the iPhone's GPS to plot your position on it - very smart! You get a 'position' button just like the one on Google maps and a home button which takes you back to the original view of the map. That is basically it. I have rated this as a 3 because I think it could do more. A search feature or street name look up would be nice and not too intensive. It would also be nice to load in places of interest as a separate layer to the map. If you are a tourist then this is a great app but you will find you will use it along side a traditional map to work out where the Civic Center is etc.
