Solid markdown editor Solid markdown editorGreat editor for doing quick edits or building large markdown documents. The only feature missing in my opinion is cross-view scroll syncing and cross-view highlighting. If you're working on a long document, it's easy to lose your place between the raw text view and the rendered markdown view as they scroll independently and there's no automated way to get them to the same spot. I filed a feature request and the author says that feature is coming in 2.0. Until then, this is still my go-to markdown editor.

Great, but I’d like more… Great, but I’d like more…I like this App, but mostly, I think, because writing in markdown is great. Writing semantics, not messing about with formatting. Lovely. Markdown Pro’s a fine App for this, but I feel it could do a lot more. The split panes showing plain text and styled text is okay, but really, I’d much prefer to be just writing styled text using markdown syntax – I don’t have any great belief that there’s something holy about the plain text original. A few other apps make a stab at achieving this, but IMHO don’t really manage it. The split panes also don’t automatically stay together when you scroll or type. I found a small bug with the markup of bullet lists (I think – I could be wrong). I contacted the support team, but I didn’t hear back. So, it’s pretty good and it’s my preffered option of those I’ve tried, but it could certainly be improved on. It’s still absolutely wonderful to be able to bang out a document that looks lovely using markdown syntax, and for that, its a few quid very well spent.
