Hugely disappointing Hugely disappointing

This is the second review of this app and unfortunately a new version brings no change. This app had so much potential but it fails completely in terms of usability. I am a Marine Biologist looking for an app to recommend to my students. This is not it. There is no way to identify fish to families by images. When you select the 'family' tab it only gives you the most basic text information, and then tells you to remember the name and type it in to the search tab. Come on guys, how difficult would a button saying 'see images of family' be? Also, some of the most common GBR species are missing (e.g. Acanthurus nigrofuscus). This app is useless and I will be trying to get my money back.

Marine Fish ID - Great Barrier Reef - Neville Coleman

@ $8.49 this app is not good value for money. Although the title refers to great barrier reef the app review also claim it to include fish of Queensland however it dosn't cover some common species such as Tailor, coboa or mulloway!

This is a great app to use in conjunction with a comprehensive fish ID book. You can scan through thumbnails with speed and ease that is equal or better than a book. If the exact species isn't there, you then know where to look in your more detailed ID book. I like the tick system for marking off fishes that u see, although would still love an option to add my own list of species that r not in the guide (same comment with Neville Coleman's other app).
