Mafon

"Mafon" is an application for music lovers. For those who are tired of faceless design and standard features of modern players for smartphones and tablets. Turn your device into one of the top tape recorders of the Soviet era.



"Mafon" can:

► show the name of the song being played right on the tape

► rewind songs like a real retro tape recorder (hold FF / RW or tap to switch tracks)

► play music in the background mode

► change the "tape" (albums and songs)
► show you a battery charge level

Each of the models reproduces the design of its plastic prototype with millimeter precision. Even the sound of the rewinding tape is almost the same! Currently, there are three tape recorder models in the application:

"Electronika-302 Olympus" - one of the most advanced Soviet players of the 70-80s. Music fans loved it for the quality of sound and being lightweight by the standards of the past - "only" 3.5 kg, while at the same time complaining about the frailty of some of the details. We left the classic design, but got rid of the drawbacks.



"Karpaty-205-1" - the ultra-modern device by the standards of 1987! It coped well with the "drawling" sound problem and pleased owners with its stylish design. Back then it cost 200 rubles, which was fairly expensive, unlike now.


"Vesna 201" - the most popular tape recorder of the Moscow Olympics-80. It was appreciated for its powerful bass and stereo sound. Expensive (over 200 rubles) and hefty (almost 5 kg), but everybody wanted to have an "Olympic" tape recorder. Our model is in the rare classic design with a decorative "wooden" panel.
