The finer things... The finer things...A good app for anyone who appreciates the finer things in life. Whether it be dining out, or fine cuisine at home this app has it covered, from restaurants, to recipes with markets and shops in between. Looking forward to other cities “on a plate” in the future.

Brilliant BrilliantThe reviews for this app, are individually written, and the photography is superb. The concept of a book in app format works well. The app could do with widening the restaurants and shops listed, but a brilliantly conceived idea, and none of the entries have paid to be reviewed. It's great for those who are coming to London for the first time. For those that treasure scrapbooks, this free app is not one to miss. As even if you cannot go to the restaurants themselves, there are over a 100 original recipes from chefs, from the restaurants listed, to cook at home, these are helpfully listed under breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner. Look out for the hidden gems. Look out for new ideas from their blog London on a plate app at blogspot.

Not in any way comprehensive Not in any way comprehensiveThis app is utterly pointless for Londoners. It may work for tourists who are staying in Zone 1, want to take a tour round Borough Market, and eat at a poncy restaurant but anyone local who wants a utility that will help them find good places to buy food and eat food will be sorely disappointed. The selection of delis/grocers/restaurants appears to have been conducted on a whim - or, even worse, maybe the establishments are paying for access - and there is no breadth or depth to the offering. If you live in South/North/East/West London then you'll be amazed to find your area is likely not covered. If you are looking for farmers markets you won't find them here. If you're looking for the Ginger Pig in Askew Road, Waterloo or Victoria Park, you'll be bizarrely directed to Marylebone. Thank god they included Daylesford Organic, one of the most overpriced grocery shops in London. I don't know how I'd survive without that place. The icing on this bland cupcake is the product placement section - consumerism gone mad - which further sullies the whole app experience for me. To summarise, this app is not comprehensive at all. It is not clear that the designer actually has a curiosity about London food at all, beyond some basic google searches, and this is just a vanity/money-spinning project. Don't waste your time.

Great app Great appIt's very good to find the best places to eat but it would help if people could summit reviews about the places they've ate at so people have more information about where are the best places! Very helpful though!
