Desperately Needs an Update or Replacement. Desperately Needs an Update or Replacement.First let me say that this is still the most customizable list type application that I have found to date. It lets you create different ‘views’ of your data/lists much like a database application. So, lets say you have a list of movies you own. You may have a dozen different types of info about each movie that you track (i.e. Title, Director, Genre, Release date, actors, and on and on.). You can then set up multiple ‘views’ that show a portion of that data. So, maybe you want to see a list of movies you own by a particular director, you can set up a view for that. Or, maybe you want a view by genre, you can do that to. Or, maybe by release year, that is also do-able. You can have multiple lists and each list can have it’s own set of multiple views. I have a “Books” list that has headings by Author. Under each heading, I have “series” that the author has written. Under that, I will list all of the books in that series. Finally, I have another field provided by the program called “Action”. So, for each book in the list, I have created two actions “Buy” and “Read”. That way, when I go to the bookstore, if the action reads “Buy”, I know I have not purchased it yet (prior to this app, I have ended up ‘re-buying’ books I had already read :-( ). Once I buy it, I change the action to “Read” because my wife reads a lot faster than I do, so I may buy 6 or 7 books at a time and they may sit around for quite a while. Once I read it, I click the ‘check box’. Now, with all that said, this application is getting very, very long in the tooth. Although you can run this application on an iPad, it is in the ‘scaled’ mode. There is no ‘syncing’ between devices. There is not a desktop version (such as Wunderlist has). You can download a template of your individual lists to your computer and use excel to modify the list. You must then upload that file to each device. So, it is not as simple as Wunderlist where you simply add an item to a list on any of your devices and it gets synced to a desktop version and all of your iOS devices. What I would love to see is an updated iOS version and a new Mac version that all synced the way that Wunderlist does but has the customizability that the existing ListOmni has. I have corresponded with the developer and he had indicated that he planned an iPad version. However, in later communications, he indicated that he had had some life changing issues that had put ListOmni on the back burner. That was over a year ago. So, I sadly believe that my wishes for an update will not come true. So, if you don’t need a desktop version and you don’t need an iPad version, this application is still great. However, if your needs require synchronizing and/or a desktop version and/or an iPad version, then you will need to look elsewhere. Hope this is of some help.

Really handy app Really handy appListomni is really handy. I can't even remember how I survived without it. I can create a grocery list and send it to my husband, I can check things off, and it auto suggests items I've listed before. Nice clean interface, intuitive design. I recommend it to people all the time. Ps I Would love to see an ipad version!

Very versatile, incredibly useful Very versatile, incredibly useful4/6/14 Is this app dead and no longer in development? It's been exactly one year today with zero updates, not even a basic update just to keep it working properly. If you're running iOS 7.1 and plan to download, be ready for problems. Such a remarkable product with no equal (or even close) that I've been able to find--It's a shame it appears to have been left for dead. 3/19/14 Incredibly useful and well-designed app, but DESPERATELY needs to be updated, especially since iOS 7.1, which now leaves the app crashing frequently when adding new or editing existing items. 1/24/14 Another thing this app could use is an update to iOS 7 UI design standards. In particular, the "swipe right from the left edge to go back" feature is very handy and intuitive. 12/10/12, 11/3/13 Ok, so the group headers still don't update properly much of the time, just as described below, but the app and tab badges seem to. 4/29/12 Because of the lack of notifications in this app, I've been using 2Do, which is nice, but it lacks the cleanness and simplicity yet customizability and versatility of List Omni Lists. 3/8/12 Actually, local notifications AND integrating the new iOS 5 Notifications Center into this app just seems like an obvious direction to take. I would give it *6* stars at that point, and could finally ditch that half-baked Apple Reminders app which isn't even smart enough to sort items in FORWARD chronological order (after all, who starts their day at bedtime and works their way backwards toward breakfast?) 6/22/11 The help documentation system has been totally revamped and the UI simplified a bit... Also, Dropbox integration for backup/restore is a very welcomed feature addition. -------------------- Now with "multitasking" (fast app switching and state resuming) -- an excellent feature for an app like this. I really like the list search feature. However, I would like to see the search mode automatically switch the list filter temporarily to show all items (checked and unchecked) upon showing search results, and then revert back to the previous list filter on exiting search mode. For lists with many items, like grocery lists, this would simplify locating and unchecking items while eliminating several actions, yet the grayed appearance of checked items makes it obvious that those items are hidden under the list filter that shows unchecked items only. (UPDATE: Search has now been modified to work just like this and it works great.) Also, I really wanted an "Uncheck Existing" option when promoted about adding duplicate items... and there it is. A sensible and very handy feature. --------------------- Version 2.4.1 Yet another decent update. So many well-thought-out features to begin with, with more coming every update. I haven't made paper to-do or grocery or supply or shopping lists in over a year. ------------- One of my three most-used apps (along with Music and Week Calendar)... Also, this developer seems dedicated to product improvement and customer service, which is not always the case. Well done all around.

My favorite app for organizing my lists and thoughts! My favorite app for organizing my lists and thoughts!I love this app so much and I can't believe that there aren't any reviews for it. It might be due to its name, because when you search for an organizing app or a list maker/creator, you have to scroll through over 50 apps to get to this one... ;( Too bad... I've had in on my phone for about 3 or 4 years now and I'm constantly using it. It's very easy to use, efficiently built, not too many extra features - perfect... You can backup and email... Very helpful and reliable. I've never had any problems with it. Had a question about three years ago and the developer replied almost immediately after I had emailed him. If you are one of the lucky ones who actually found this app - get it, it's very.
