It does exactly what it says. It turns on the camera's flash to act as a flashlight. It is very bright and I use it almost every night.

Best light w/ compass on screen! Saved my butt while camping! Emergency light great feature but didn't have to use it! If your getting pop ups....pay the .99 cents!!! Well worth it

Not at all what the description says, no options except to change the color of the screen, not bright enough to be a flashlight, waste of $.99!
