Functional but outdated design and lacking some features Functional but outdated design and lacking some featuresWith clunky stamp menus, inconsistent emoji support and a design that is well behind current Mac hardware and software, Line for Mac is just a convenient backup option that often leaves me reaching for my iPhone instead. It’s simply not nice to look at on a retina Mac, especially on Yosemite, and issues like often not displaying emoji weaken usability. QR code login (using the iOS app) is nice, and previous issues (like usability-crushing friends list crashes) and missing features (like ‘read' tags) have thankfully been fixed over the last few updates, but with the release of Yosemite an already long-overdue design update has become even more sorely needed.
