Very Good App Very Good AppLearning German, I have tried Duolingo, Bussu, Memrise, Mind Snack, and Germanpod101. Babbel is my favorite. Each has its unique feature(s); however, Babbel puts them all together in an extensive, and interactive app. The price is well worth it (I bought 12 months straight away and I am a tight wad). Realize that no ONE system is a "Fits All" solution Compared to Rosetta Stone, Babbel is the hands down winner on cost and I like it better than Rosetta. Go ahead and throw down $60.00 towards CD's or a $20/month subscription elsewhere; go spend all your money first. Then you will understand and truly realize the value in this app. The one complaint that o have is the voice recognition for pronouncing words and phrases. I checked and it is a common complaint across devices and OS. I wrote the support people, tried everything they suggested, still a no-go. That is the only reason I didn't give it 5 Stars. That aside, it is an excellent investment, teaches relevant concepts, is very interactive, and a joy to use. Combine this with Duolingo and Memrise and you will have very few or no regrets.

Great App Great AppOnly had it a week, but I am enjoying the app. The checks on learning and exercises are comfortable but challenging enough.

Fantastic app! Fantastic app!Traveled to France for three weeks and practiced this a little bit each day. Pronunciation fantastic, thanks to the speaking and listening portions of the lessons. The app allows audible review as you go, especially in the conversation parts of the lesson. Wide range of ways to learn as you advance: speaking, listening, writing, and reading.
