Jim Lawer Baseball Instruction (JLB)

Dedicated to my brother Phil Lawler. He was my inspiration for creating this application. He lost his battle to cancer in 2010.

Team Warm Up- throwing 8 steps
1. Elbow waggle
2. Belly Button, stand up, throw
3. Circle over
4. Tap and Throw
5. Walk the Ball
6. Throw by positions
7. Shuffle
8. Hop on feet, shuffle

Grips
1. Fastball: 4 seam, 2 seam, hook-a-seam (front view, back view)

2. Change up: 2 seam grip, 4 seam, hook-a-seam, 3 finger fastball

3. Curve: grip with horseshoe of seam on top of ball, grip with horseshoe on bottom of ball, finger across the two narrow seams of ball

4. Slider: 4 seam fastball grip, slide 2 fingers to horseshoe

Change Up

1. 2 seam fastball with middle finger and ring finger
2. 4 seam grip
3. hook-a-seam
4. 3 finger fastball
5. 70 ft play catch with grip

Breaking Pitch drills 1. Arm action
2. Chair drill
3. Fastball grip
4. Fastball grip, 4 finger
5. Hold on the ball-release ball
6. Hammer drill grip

This application provides video instruction for baseball. The current release focuses on throwing and pitching with future versions to include additional content.
