DRAINS the Battery DRAINS the BatteryThe dongle isn’t that strong to pick up HD signals more than a few miles away. Worse yet that the app runs in the background ALL THE TIME. You have to make sure you turn it off - a action quite obsolete for most apps - otherwise it will run your battery down. I use it with an iPod Touch 4th generation and you can actually see the battery range going down from the moment I turn this on. All in all, unless the app gets reworked seriously, it’s not worth the pain. Understandably there is no radio receiver in the Touch, but I can always use the nano which comes with radio receiver. Unfortunately, the dongle by itself will not work with the nano or any other radio app.

This works great for me This works great for meI use this at Lifetime Fitness to listen to the tv channels displayed in front of the treadmills, stair masters, etc. and it works great. I am surprised by the amount of negative reviews. I have iPhone 5s and also have the app on my iPad 2 for home use and it works great there too, even though the app is not intended for iPad. The app runs through the Gigaware controller from Radio Shack. I don't know what's not to like here.
