Great app but the update is confusing? Great app but the update is confusing? The app keeps popping up saying restore purchases etcetera even though I've paid for the instructors version?! What extra am I even paying for? I've used this app a lot, and this update seems to have made me pay twice for essentially nothing extra!!

Awesome App! Awesome App!Does it work? Absolutely. I used this app in a range of shooting situations, and found it to be a genuinely useful addition to my shooting bag. Gunsonics has accompanied me fox shooting, rifle shooting, clay target shooting and informally plinking with friends. Every time I fired a shot, I just heard a quiet pop, and then an imperceptibly quick return to ‘normal’ hearing. The initial sound of the shot is ‘squashed’ to a metallic click, then environmental noise immediately returns. It wasn’t just the impressive noise reduction that was useful; my situational awareness was vastly improved too. Being in a quiet bubble that reeks of AR2208 and insect repellant is one of my favourite places to be, but often times it’s safer to hear what is going on. Fox drives, shooting ranges, coaching and sharing a forest with trail riders are just some situations where it’s useful to have ears, as well as eyes on what’s happening. I found the key to comfortable use was getting the volume just right on my earphones. Once I had the volume at the right level, I could hear all surrounding conversation, without the unnatural, tinny and slightly otherworldly effect other noise reducing headphones can have. This is a really neat app, that works exactly as advertised which has saved me a lot of money, and become an essential part of my shooting bag.

Great idea, but suffers from design flaws Great idea, but suffers from design flawsThis is a great idea for an app. And, it does work pretty well. Is it as good as real electronic hearing protection? No. Is it acceptable... Yes. The issues: 1. The microphone it uses is the one on the headphones designed for use as a telephone mouthpiece. This means you hear a lot of your own breathing, and can't hear anything said to you if you are not facing the person. 2. The standard ear buds don't fit that well inside hearing protection. They kind of annoy you and you will need to fix them every so often. 3. You have a headphone cord dangling the whole time you are shooting. You can put them under your shirt, but then the tug on your ears a bit then you lift your head... Like when you try to get a sight picture in your optic. 4. If you get texts or calls, they break in on you.
