Comments on coloured body (article) text Comments on coloured body (article) textHi, For me, the joy of the ipad edition is that it hews closely to the physical edition. The most important aspect to me is that this is a curated version of news and comment, rather than the rather random collection of articles on the website, but readability (possibly very close to usability, in app terms) is a close second. For example, it is important that, as in the broadsheet, long articles can be skimmed and still absorbed. Consequently I am now troubled by experiments with coloured text. I understand your attempts to build a consistent look-and-feel across properties, but I always feel that something written in red must have some urgent or "dangerous" aspect to it. Clearly this is not the case when I am simply reading an article in the International section. Please be very careful about this approach. The Guardian, of all papers, given it's several recent redesigns, must know about the subtleties of print and typeface. Black-on-white is absolutely the easiest to read for most people, and the higher resolution of new devices makes it increasingly possible to bring quality typefaces to digital editions. I hope that you will consider my concerns carefully and take them into account in your next steps. I will add that paying for the ipad edition is partly a deliberate choice on my part, to support the future of the newspaper. I want to be able to read it in my eventual old age.

Ongoing Download Issues Ongoing Download IssuesI give this 3 stars for content and design, neither of which I can fault. But I have daily download issues which have not been resolved by the Guardian's tech support. Until that's sorted out I won't be continuing my subscription.

How papers should be presented on a tablet How papers should be presented on a tabletThanks for fixing the scrolling issue. This is such a great app and a great piece of design. It provides the experience and feel of reading a paper whilst taking full advantage of the tablet format. So many other papers just emulate their paper format. Keep up the good work!
