Not very good, horrible if you pay. Not very good, horrible if you pay.Messages constantly don't come through. The map function works only a portion of the time. For free it's usable, but for the amount they ask for a month membership is a rip off. Maybe if the app was more functional it might be worth it.

Full page video ads = massive fail Full page video ads = massive failBefore I always thought of Growlr as the good guy in the gay app world. Ads were non intrusive and they offered a great value for basic, free members. It inspired me to want to upgrade to premium. That has ended. First it was the sneaky banner ads that scroll into view several seconds AFTER a page loads. Exactly at the same time and in the same place where would hit the “back to messages” button so that instead you tap on the banner unintentionally, thus generating a hit. That’s fraudulent. But what’s worse, you now get unskippable, full-page video ads that you’re forced to sit through before you can use the app for basic functions. SEVERAL times a day. Even Grindr is much better about its ad usage, only after you use a special feature like “block”.
