This walking tour guides you through the former site of Montreal World’s Fair (1967) by exploring its last works of architecture, engineering, and sculptures. On the scenic îles Sainte-Hélène and Notre-Dame, stroll from a point of interest to another and enjoy this full immersion into the heart of the old "Terre des Hommes". Personal accounts from renowned architects and artists (Jean Dumontier, Moshe Safdie, Buckminster Fuller, Yves Trudeau), radio host (Jacques Languirand), historians, and many others that participated in the event (Yves Jasmin) offer a fresh look at the site and its remnants . Their testimonials inspire new visions and help us to think forward. Interviews and music combine to create a new and lively portrait of the 1967 fair that was an international showcase for the greatest designs of the time. The custom-made musical score by musician Antoine Bédard (Montag) in collaboration with british composer James Cargill (Broadcast) and Trio Jazz subtly evokes these architectures and add a sensory dimension which fosters a direct experience of the visited works.
