This App is the digital version of 'Pungent Proverbs', a book written by Peter Panton concerning popular audio-visual proverbs based on everyday situations familiar to us all. Each proverb is accompanied by a droll, malicious and witty illustration. Assisted by parallel texts in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian, the reader can compare the proverbs and sayings of his native language with those of others - all brought to life with a sting! A humorous publication for aspiring polyglots.
