Extremely Clever and Well Executed Extremely Clever and Well ExecutedI have to admit I was at first put off a little bit by the technical introductions, even though I have plenty of background there. Seemed like the concepts of text-oriented editing, markdown, python scripting were a step backwards from more "sophisticated editing" of content on web pages and other platforms. Tried it out initially to learn from and try to understand the perspective of this particular problem space and now it's being solved. All I can say is stick with it, do some simple things first, and then move forward. Once you get the idea that a whole lot of editing use cases with content are really just headings, text content, links, and images --- oddly enough, like the original use-cases for HTML way back in the early web --- this kind of tool starts making a whole lot of sense. You can more quickly crank out posts, ignore formatting largely because it's so simple to maintain, easily interweave images into the content, and then upload and post. Okay so if I sound like a convert, I guess I am one after working with this tool a bit. Beyond the basics, then the author starting providing some really nice utility on top like the handling of snippets and then eventually workflows. I can't say I'm really exploiting much of this yet but I can say the ability to easily reference links and plug those into content is really handled well by this solution. Give this app a try, focus it some simple work, you won't be disappointed. No, I have absolutely no relationship with the author. I'm just a fan of clever software that solves interesting problems in some very unique ways. This app fits that description. Well done!

Best iOS writing app I've used Best iOS writing app I've usedThe developer has really considered the little details about writing on iOS. With this app, I work on my novel ON MY PHONE. Love it.

I Waited Far Too Long I Waited Far Too LongI can't believe I waited this long to start using Editorial. I bought Viticci's book the moment it came out and remember thinking that everything looked really interesting, but that maybe it was a bit over my head, in the weeds, etc.. I was so wrong. The workflows are brilliant, the interface is near perfect, and truthfully, the taskpaper support alone is worth the price of entry. It's just a beautiful piece of software. It has fully replaced Notesy for me to become my nvALT companion on iOS, and in so many ways it's more powerful than what I can do on my Mac.

Get it Get itVery complicated, but very powerful. You can write Markdown just fine, right away, but digging in is what makes it special. Would like to see extended support for Dropbox sync alternatives...
