5 years strong and the most reliable app I have on my mac 5 years strong and the most reliable app I have on my macI’ve been using Droplr for nearly 5 years. It’s easily one of the best mac productivity apps in it’s class. Droplr has been absolutely rock solid over the years and it keeps getting better. I appreciate that they don’t add things the app doesn’t need. It does it’s job very well and the additions they do make only serve to make that job more efficient and useful. If I could add one thing to the app today? It would be to add tagging or some means to easily organize my drops. I really like the way Pocket does it. When you create a drop, it offers the ability to tag them for a short window of time, but saves the drop regardless. P.S, Regarding the review about secure file sharing. I think Droplr means that drops are *created* over an encrypted connection. But the *public* links generated after creation are not encrypted. I agree that the language is kind of confusion.

Incluso es entendible hasta que lo que tenemos es un ejemplo de abuso. Llevo un año pagando las características Pro, que acaba de caducarme. Como es obvio la aplicación me solicitó acudir a la web a renovar mi suscripción, sin ninguna otra información que renovar el plan. Pero yo tenía pensado utilizar el plan Free que siempre estuvo presente, y creía que la aplicación ya no funcionaba porque se había agotado el almacenamiento. Comencé a borrar lo que tenía almacenado y seguía sin funcionar la aplicación. Más tarde me llevé la desagradable sorpresa, sin posible vuelta atrás, de que el Plan Free, el gratuito, ahora se llama Lite y cuesta 60€ al año, mientras que el Pro unos 120€ al año. Entonces pensé en acercarme a la competencia, a Cloudapp. ¿Os imagináis lo que ví? Precios pactados. Absoluto abuso por parte de una valiosísima herramienta que he integrado en mi flujo de trabajo y que me obligan a abrir mi cartera con la misma cara con la que tienes al darle tu dinero a un ladrón. Sí, les estoy acusando de violar la ley de libre competencia. ¿Debe Apple permitir prácticas Oligopólicas de este tipo? Claro que no pero, lo que es aún más gracioso, no se puede hacer nada ya que los servicios de pago se proveen desde el propio desarrollador, facturando desde su propia página web. Recordad, 60€ al año o nada.
