This app has the potential to blow other social apps out of the water. It's ease of use, locality, appeal and overall appearance is genuinely pleasing. It creates an atmosphere for men to socialize outside of the 'web.' Suggesting bars, clubs and events when in a new city is genius. Plus, showing the guys that reside around these places offers you a way to connect with locals instead of looking like a tourist. I can't wait to see more people jump on this plane. It's really going to take off!
★★★★ Different from the usual app in this genre, Distinc.tt is clearly charging ahead for a more refined and, dare I say it, useful app experience. Not only does it offer the expected "shows me who is near me" function, it also shows you good places to go, things to do, location-aware offers and even allows all people in one venue to chat in a virtual room. There are some rough edges - their explanation of the Premium Red and White levels is confusing - yet they are hungry for feedback and suggestions and have a proper system (inc. voting) to handle this. In all, this app looks very promising and certainly is already head and shoulders above the dross pumped out by Grindr, Gaydar and Recon. It's even better in many areas than the current rising star, Scruff.
