Just what I was looking for. I spent hours looking at so many recording apps for the iPhone, and finally found this app. Works perfectly, and has a wonderful simplicity and ease of use without making it too featureless. Auto-start and the option to create a single contiguous file or multiple files are nice features. You can see how beautiful it is graphically, which makes it a pleasure to load and use. Files transfer quickly and easily. File management, renaming, making notes, etc. are very well implemented. The whole interface is beautiful throughout. Easily worth the $2.99. I had better success recording louder sounds using the mic in the iPhone earbuds. Recording with the built-in iPhone mic was better for quieter situations. (iPhone 5) Hoping to eventually have stereo recording and record input level control support in a future update. As it is now, it still does what I need and does it well.

I love the old school look. This is the most realistic open reel recorder app I've found and it works perfect too. Could not be any easier to use. Love all the features especially the unique file option. Also having auto record and being able to set the activation level is my favorite feature. Overall it's a quality app and worth getting. No complaints. LUV IT !!!
