Unreliable, Have Keys or Remote Handy Unreliable, Have Keys or Remote HandyI purchased my new garage door openers two years ago with Assurelink. The openers and all related hardware and remotes work reliably. Assurelink is the sole exception. It works maybe half the time. The first time I noticed a problem was when I was stuck outside my driveway with no way to get into my house. After 40 mins of constantly trying, I finally, managed to get a door open. I called the support number provided and the technician sounded ignorant of the problem. He suggested I recheck my hardware and installation. I told him I had already done that and having a two door garage I had a redundant network receiver. Both of which I setup and configured. Eventually after a week or so it seemed I had reliable operation. The next time I had an issue was when I was allowing my contractor in by opening my garage remotely from my office 30 miles away. I was able to open a close the first two days but on the third, it decided to quit after my contractor was done and I couldn't close my garage door. Fortunately the contractor said he would hit the close button in the garage and make a run for the door. Lately with the latest iOS upgrade I haven't been able to link with the server and can't operate my doors. The problem I suspect is the corporate server that Sears poorly maintains. This is a great device when I works. But do not rely solely upon it. You'll end up in Ship Creek without a Paddle.

Sporadic at best Sporadic at bestWhen this works it's great. But more often than not the application will not launch. Initially I thought something may be wrong with the assurelink module and would unplug/replug it in but then I went to the website and attempted to operate the opener from there and it seemed to work much more consistently; thereby ruling out equipment problems. As a result I've had to resort to pasting a shortcut to the site onto my phone's home screen. The pain in the butt comes when I have to enter my full password (not the four digit one, mind you) in order to log in.

Terrible app Terrible app9 hours to install this opener yesterday and it's already disappearing from the app. It was there when I left the house 10 minutes ago and now it's gone. Thankfully I can still get to it from the web app. UPDATE: I did a hard reboot on my phone 3 days ago and haven't lost connection since. Upping to 3 stars. I'll give it 5 when the app is more functional. Update 2: much more functional and reliable after the update. 5 stars. Update 3: App and service in general have become wonky again and in general, assure link is far too unreliable for me to ever trust it again. I only get notifications every other day, I can rarely connect to my devices, and event logs are not recording.
