Good version Good versionI have waited to get this game for a while. I wanted to make sure most of the kinks were worked out. Then I saw it on sale for $7.99 and I decided to give it a whirl. I've been a player and fan from version 1 on the PC and SNES. I have an iPad Air and it seams to run it smoothly. There are a couple of things that irritate me, like the zoom not staying zoomed out. It will auto zoom in on the cities and not zoom back out the way I had it. I have yet to experience any issues with saving, slow play, or lock ups in later years. I will try it on my iPad mini and iPad 2 to see how they fare. I will update this review once that is done. Based on my experience so far it is a great version for the iPad. Be aware the controls are more like Civ5, you have to select your unit and then the destination point. No more sliding it to the destination. Tap and hold controls allow options for units and tiles to show up. Takes a little getting use to, but it works well. Pros|: good game graphics.probably could be better but considering they are supporting old iPads they are pretty good. 8/10 Range attack from the cities with walls. Would love for them to add bombardment from ships and artillery like Civ 5. I like that they are updating the game with more techs, units, leaders and civilization options. There is a way to report bugs, so I am betting they are trying to keep improving the game. So, submit your bugs so they can fix them. The link is under the version updates. Cons: it is very similar to original Civ Revolution, but does have improved graphics and extras. Overall I'd recommend this game, especially at $7.99. Hopefully they continue to support it with updates and upgrades.

What I Expected What I ExpectedFun game but it crashes a lot and you have to save frequently to avoid restarting all the time. Not worth the 7.99 for these errors in the game, hoping they will fix them ASAP; otherwise a great addition to the Civilization games.

Terrible TerribleThe graphics upgrade is very pretty. The unit upgrades and additional buildings add an interesting layer to the game. This game should have been a winner. The battle simulations get boring after the first 20 minutes. I haven't figured a way to skip the simulations, so every game is elongated by the same battle simulation, time and time again. Simple shortcuts in the civrev are no longer available (for example, one swip from a ship to the land unloads all armies traveling aboard a ship, the"wait one turn" button allows a unit to wait until the next turn for orders)... All very annoying. FINALLY, THIS GAME CRASHES EVERY OTHER TURN AFTER YEAR 2000. Not sure if it's due to too many units in play, but either way, the game is impossible to finish. That is, unless you have the patience of a saint.

Terrible game Terrible gameI'm on a 5th generation device and everytime I get to about 2050 my game crashes at the same point and there's nothing you can do about it, plus even discounted 7.99 is waaayyyyy to much money for an app with this low quality, game would be great if they fixed the crashes, because the graphics are great and the game is fun.?
