Great OTR app Great OTR appThere aren't many chat apps that support OTR, especially with the option to connect through ToR. I do wish this would stay active in the background for much longer though.

Good.....but Good.....butI really want to LOVE this app. It could have so much potential. Most cell services support direct phone calls to land lines using wifi connections. Most offer unlimited text/unlimited data plans. Combine that with actual real phone call ability, and you could beat Skype into the ground, easily, especially since Microsoft freely violates user privacy and hands over user data, content and metadata to law enforcement without a warrant or justification. I have no problem with the removal of FaceBook Messenger access, seeing as how Zuckerberg has the same frequency of violating user privacy and security like Microsoft does. However, as others have mentioned, seriously? ChatSecure offers obscure rarely used services. Why can't we get AOL/AIM and/or Yahoo! Messenger and/or WhatsApp and/or Instagram and/or Line? ChatSecure can be as secure as can be, will do no good if none of anyone's contacts actually use rare obscure connection types. That's my only fault I see in ChatSecure. It simply doesn't work when EVERYONE uses WhatsApp or Skype instead of Jitsi. If somehow advertising could be done to educate users and get them to dump FaceBook/Skype etc. It would be great, but until that happens, it's not a useful app when you have no one that will use what you offer in ChatSecure.

Tons of Potential Tons of PotentialThis app has tons of potential, I’m looking forward to see the continued updates and increased usability of the app. Hopefully XMPP group chats will be supported in the future

The source code doesn’t compile The source code doesn’t compileChris decided for some reason to rely on CocoaPods, which makes the software tricky to build after cloning from github, because it seems no one has mastered the dark art of creating pods. Pods never build properly and what is worse they modify the project file which is a huge no-no.
