Nice concept, but could use some upgrades. Need to be able to set bookmarks. Need to open in the book you left in. Needs to integrate with iBook store. Needs search function. Needs a wish list. Needs book ratings & reviews.

Unusable and unreadable Unusable and unreadable

App won't change the vertical orientation to horizontal so I don't know if that would solve the problem of text going off the right side of the screen. Tried several stories and all were unreadable as too much of the text was unseen to make even a guess at the words and information that couldn't be seen. Please fix this. I'm trying to read on the latest iPad mini, but the same problem exists on the 4th gen iPad.

I read about this APP from Stone Bridge Press and downloaded it. What a terrific idea to introduce us to writers and publishers we may not know. I read a story from Japanese-Canadian, Hiromi Goto's collection "Hopeful Monsters" and had to buy the book (with Kindle APP) immediately . You get a new story every Friday and they are free and seem to be permanent. Stone Bridge Press just added a story from "Still Life and other Stories" by Junzo Shono. I wish I could buy it again but I already own it. The other stories look very good, American writers of many genres. Don't miss out on this APP!

All of the stories in Bookslinger are part of larger collections, so if you like what you read, you can get more of it!
