Disappointed DisappointedI was looking for an app that would work like the app Datemate for the Palm operating system. After searching through all the apps on the store, I thought Birthday Suite would do the trick. I picked it because it lets one sort by birthdate or by name. What I did not know till after I tried it out was that it only allows you to add a new person (event) if that person is already in your address book. One cannot add a person who is not in the address book (except as associated with another person). That may not be a problem for most, but it is for me. Otherwise the app works fine. An improvement for the future would be the ability to add a short note to each event.

bedingt brauchbar bedingt brauchbarFür mich ist das Programm kaum brauchbar. In Zeiten von OS 3.0 keinen Push-Alarm anzubieten ist schwach. Das App zeigt im Icon an, wieviele Kontakte in der Woche Geburtstag haben. Bei mir waren es diese Woche 6. Eine Erinnerung erfolgt nicht, man muss jeden Tag in das App schauen ob heute eine Geburtstag hat. Das ist für mich inakzeptabel. Deshalb keine Kaufempfehlung.

sehr gutes Programm sehr gutes ProgrammNachdem ich einigen Schiffbruch mit anderen Birthday-Programmen erlebt habe nun hier ein Programm, was folgendes kann: Erinnerung an alle Geburtstage innerhalb einer Woche, das wird schon im Icon angezeigt (sehr wichtig). Manuell können Daten, die mit Personen, die im Adressbuch verzeichnet sind, gekoppelt werden (Beispiel: Hochzeitstag oder Geburtstage der Kinder, usw.). Die Daten können nach akt. Datum, nach Alphabet der Teiln. und nach Alter geordnet werden. Und das alles für 79 Cent. Einziger Wermutstropfen: Wenn das Programm geöffnet wird, dauert es einige Sekunden, weil jedes Mal das Adressbuch abgefragt wird. Ich habe dort ca. 1000 Einträge, das dauert ca. 10 sek. In der nächsten Version sollte man darauf verzichten.
