Ballard+ Catalog Companion from Ballard Designs

Bad.

Marxent Labs did a nice job.. may be.. but no way to know that because the biz manager pretty much screwed up the usability piece and the logical utility of an app like this. Why download a catalog when the sole purpose of this AR tool is point and shoot. This just shows why current augmented reality apps are flop shows because the teams or product developers are not yet conceiving the utility of AR in the correct format. Come out of the adolescence please!!! I have to give this a 1 star or less only.

So you can't actually look at the catalog with this...you have to use a paper copy and it "scans" the page to give you more info on things...or to buy them, but it doesn't work for every page or every item on the page. Overall it's a flop, who wants to use 2 things (paper + iPad) to browse a catalog..

I never could get the app to work!!! I am deleting it now!!

Downloaded the app, then downloaded the catalogs, or so I thought and came to realize you need the actual hard copy of the catalog otherwise it is useless. Where are your electronic catalogs? Would love to shop from them.
