Good twist on an old classic Good twist on an old classicI remember playing this game way back when on my old Commodore 64 computer...always loved it. So when I bought an iPad, of course this was one of the first apps I looked for, and was stoked to find that it had been updated and improved. The basic game is great, and the new boards are fantastic additions. However, the Conquest variant is a good example of too much of a good thing. The challenges are creative, but some just feel like blatant cheats. The "double" units that tag team you, the constant board color advantage, and the ability for the computer to shoot with such accuracy around the map obstacles is a bit unfair. I get it's supposed to be a challenge, but make it a challenge using creative problems...not just blatantly stacking the deck so that you win by luck and not skill.

A great game, but needs update. A great game, but needs update.This is a great game, but it needs an update to get rid of the time and battery status bar which now hides a big portion of the game screen ever since iOS 7.

Nice quick gameplay Nice quick gameplayBecause i am a big fan of archon this add some longetivity of the game. Not exactly the most elaborate story but old school stuff always was simple and straight forward. The only thing lacking is optimized for iphone 5. 4 stars for now.

Awful graphics, awful controls Awful graphics, awful controlsI'm not sure if this game is fun. It looks so bad, and it's so hard to control, that I can't win a single battle. Awful. Total waste of either time or money. The Archon I remember from my teen years is destroyed.
