My Favorite Aviation App By Far My Favorite Aviation App By FarThis is the fourth aviation app I’ve tried and it is, by far, the best one in my opinion. I’ve used ForeFlight, Garmin Pilot, and WingX and FlyQ is not only the easiest to use but also the most robust features for VFR (I haven’t used the IFR features as I’m not IFR rated so can’t comment on IFR capabilities). It is very intuitive and it’s obvious that the designers kept an eye on making sure the product is easy to use even when there are other distractions in the cockpit. One of my biggest gripes with other comparable products is that some of the most common features that a pilot may need access to are not so obvious to locate, or require multiple steps to access them whereas with FlyQ they are found intuitively with no more than one or two taps of the finger. I was only 2 months into my annual subscription with Garmin Pilot when I tried FlyQ based on a friend’s recommendation. Within a couple of weeks I signed up for the FlyQ subscription - that’s how much I love this product. I also appreciate the fact that FlyQ doesn’t require the user to rely on proprietary hardware, which means a user could have access to a wider range of GPS/Weather/ADS-B hardware. I haven’t had any issues with the software whatsoever. I have it installed on a 1st generation iPad mini.

Very nice, easy to use... Very nice, easy to use...I've tried them all; Foreflight, WingX, Garmin Pilot and others. All fine products but more and more features aimed at IFR flight that I don't need, and I understand why they are added. FlyQ efb is adding more also but I really prefer the ease of operation for my needs flying VFR and its simplicity. Good pricing too on subscription.

N4112b N4112bI like the ease of navigation, layers easily added or removed and the ability to see the actual time that has elapsed from the last update in the weather function when connected to the ADS unit.

Love it Love itI've used Foreflight for about five years, and I've had no problem switching to this app. The customer support, that I've received, when I had any questions has been impeccable. I love the two finger distance/time that also includes terrain clearance.

Beware Auto Renewal Beware Auto RenewalApp is good but I prefer Foreflight. Tried it for a year and was surprised when they auto renewed against credit card I provided a year ago without any prior notice. The small print of their policies requires cancellation before renewal with no refund after auto renewal. I can't help but feel I was conned out of $120!
