Why was my listing deactivated? Why was my listing deactivated?I got an email saying my listing was deactivated b/c of not accepting inquiries, but I accept inquiries all the time, and always give a transparent reason for not accepting a booking request, and have been using airbnb for years. Plus, the mobile app is very difficult to change pricing and set calendar dates. I've worked through the kinks of Airbnb for a couple years but this email was super frustrating.

Worst customer service I've ever received Worst customer service I've ever receivedUnlike Uber, who actually cares whether about their customers's safety and whether they live or die, Airbnb's method for resolving problem focuses primarily on how it will benefit Airbnb first, then the hosts and last (if even taken into consideration at all), the guests. When I encountered noise and pest problems and my host left for Russia without paying two months' worth of rent at her studio, Airbnb simply did not care about our safety or well-being ("just give us a call if the landlord kicks you out, we'll make sure you have another place to stay"). Why do guests have to be place in critical, worst-case scenarios for them to take guests seriously?? It is clear that they do not do any sort of background check besides the online verification process, making this system RIPE for abuse, theft and crime. AirBnB will also change the timestamps on your message threads with your hosts, siding with them when you complain that your host has not responded in 10 days about her date of return from Russia, if she even intends to return at all. "We see that she typically responds in 24 hours", which is basically a big fat lie. Basically, sign up at your own risk using the best and most vigilant credit card company possible (so you can file a dispute if Airbnb refuses to help with your situation). Better still, use VRBO and HomeAway!! Anything but this unethical, deceptive company who does not realize that making guests angry will result in them having no hosts at all, much less Airbnb itself. DO NOT USE!

It was my second visit there and hope to visit again next year, I can't wait. So long Plum Island until we meet again.

Guest GuestLoved our accommodations with Paul and Janet in Nashville. They are very gracious hosts who enjoy guests, and provided us with excellent recommendations for restaurants, music venues, and places to see. The historic home is charming with a lovely front porch and backyard deck that we found wonderfully relaxing. They plan to remodel the bathroom, which will hopefully include a larger mirror and lighting over the sink. Also, the mirror in the bedroom would be easier to use if it were mounted to the wall. These items are minor fixes for a completely satisfying visit with this obliging couple in a hip neighborhood well situated near downtown Nashville sights.
